CRITERIA 2012
REGIONAL SQUADS - 1A* 2A** 3A*** (Insurance subscriptions only)
Riders who are members of the New Regional Groups and Train at home or with a Regional Trainer.
They do not attend National Training - or any of the big competitions. They are not BD affiliated.
They are assessed by their own Regional Trainer/Organiser - may wear navy jackets - gold stars.

FLEDGLINGS - PONIES - JUNIORS - YOUNG RIDERS
ELITE * SQUAD (Full subscriptions)
Riders to have achieved 6 Tests at 65%+ in unaffiliated Preliminary/Novice/PC competitions.
They may attend a Unicorn Training Squad Clinic to be assessed by our independent Trainers.
Elite* Squad to be 8 years of age and above, and may be invited to wear a Red Elite * Jacket.

ELITE ** SQUAD (Full subscriptions)
Riders who show talent and committment are invited to join the Elite ** and Elite *** Squad.
Competition results are very important - and should be BD affiliated. Training is more intensive.
Members of this Squad viewed for TEAMS both Regionally, Nationally and Internationally.
Some training may be with Premier Elite ** Squad.

ELITE *** SQUAD - PREMIER ELITE *** - PREMIER GOLD *** (Full subscriptions)
Members highly committed to U21s UK and prepared to represent the Group
Riders from Elite ** Squads are gradually invited to move up during the training season.
Committment to U21s UK is the most important criteria.
Premier Elite Gold *** Squads are the most Senior at each level.
International Badges given for Red Jackets if selected to ride in Teams.
